Defined in SDTM (code C68875) as: A unit for measuring concentration or/and reactivity of a test substance (an antigen or antibody of interest) as defined in the literature reference standard for the particular quantitative enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay method. The enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay unit is used to express potency of immunologically active substances and products, e.g. vaccines.(NCI)
